Sri Vaishnavism is the tradition of devotion centered on Sriman Narayana together with Sri Mahalakshmi. Its roots reach back to the earliest layers of the Vedas, where the Supreme Being is glorified as the source, sustainer, and refuge of all that exists.
In the sacred land of the Tamil country, the twelve Azhwars — poet-saints steeped in divine love — sang of the Lord in tender, personal verses that became the Divya Prabandham, often called the Tamil Veda.
Their vision was preserved and expounded by a lineage of Acharyas, culminating in Bhagavad Ramanuja, who unified scriptural teaching, devotional experience, and reasoned philosophy into a coherent path known as Sri Vaishnavism.

Qualified Non-Dualism
Vishishtadvaita means the non-duality of the Supreme Reality qualified by sentient souls and the material universe. Sriman Narayana alone is the Supreme; yet all souls and all matter are His inseparable body, sustained by His will.
Every soul retains its unique individuality even in liberation. The relationship between the Lord and the soul is one of loving intimacy — never one of erasure. To know oneself as the Lord's own is the beginning of true freedom.
