Overview
Guru–Śiṣya Paramparā is a community mentorship initiative that pairs experienced devotees with those beginning their study, so that learning happens through relationship as well as reading.
Importance
The tradition has always been transmitted personally, from teacher to student. Mentorship keeps that living continuity present in our community.
Learning together
Mentorship may focus on chanting, scripture, temple practice, or service. Pairings are informal and shaped by what each participant is ready to learn or share.
Rooted in tradition
The initiative honours the Sri Vaishnava lineage documented in the Heritage section and does not attempt to replace formal initiation (samāśrayaṇam) with an ācārya.
Future participation
Formal enrollment for mentors and students will open once organised. In the meantime, devotees interested in participating may contact the temple office.
