Attire in the temple reflects the intention we bring to darshan. These are gentle, welcoming guidelines — not strict rules.
Why respectful attire matters
Traditional attire is a mark of respect for the sanctity of the temple and the traditions of the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya. It helps every devotee — including yourself — feel present and settled during darshan.
General
General guidance
Devotees are requested to wear modest, clean, traditional or semi-traditional attire that covers the shoulders and knees. Attire should feel comfortable, respectful, and appropriate for a place of worship.
For men
For men
Dhoti, veshti, kurta, or pants with a shirt are appropriate. Sleeveless shirts, shorts, and beachwear are respectfully discouraged.
For women
For women
Saree, salwar kameez, long skirt with blouse, or comparable modest attire are appropriate.
For children
For children
Any clean, modest clothing is welcome. Traditional attire is encouraged for festival days.

During major utsavams and festival sevas, traditional attire is especially encouraged as a mark of participation and reverence.

Please avoid
Shorts, mini skirts, sleeveless tops, transparent clothing, loose hair (Please secure hair below the collar in a ponytail, bun, or braid.), and clothing with slogans or imagery unrelated to the tradition are respectfully discouraged inside the sanctum area.
